Jeroen van der Meer, CEO, Comexi, said, “The Comexi CI8, which is targeted at short and medium run flexible packaging, replaces solvent inks for electron beam curing technology that allows solventless inks.”
Available in the web widths of 900mm and 1100mm, the press features extended colour gamut printing with seven printing units plus one unit for white or lacquer and speed of 300 metres per minute.
“It offers considerable savings for companies due to faster and cheaper platemaking as compared to flexo or gravure and also enables faster time to market,” added Meer.
Comexi also launched F1 flexographic press, an evolved version of its previous F1, which has more than 50 units installed globally. The new machine boasts of advanced automation with a built-in robot that takes care of job changeovers and complex tasks like preparing sleeves.
Meer said, “With the new F1, an increase in production efficiency of at least 25% can be achieved by the robot managing changes automatically. The solution is essential because it is inline with the current market trends of cost efficiency, customised production and work safety.”
The company also introduced Comexi Cloud, which is “the fastest and easiest way to analyse production”. It is a production analysis tool which is capable of understanding and processing production data and facilitates optimal decision-making.
