Comexi discontinues its gravure business
Comexi, after nearly a decade dedicated to commercialising gravure printing presses, and with sales around the world, has decided to focus its efforts on the sales and designs of flexo, offset, lamination and slitting equipment. As a consequence, Comexi will divest its rotogravure business, devoting its efforts to develop innovative solutions for flexible packaging such as offset and digital.

With the commitment to continue giving service to all customers and with the need to adapt business to the new strategic plan, recently developed, Comexi will focus, as it has been doing in the last years in the research and development of solutions of more sustainable printing, based on technologies without solvents. This strategy already started several years ago, being a pioneer in many of today's market developments, is marked by its commitment to the environment and the need to preserve it.
Comexi, founded in 1954, has an extensive experience in manufacturing equipment for the flexible packaging conversion industry. World leader, it runs five product lines, each specialised in a different conversion process: flexography printing, offset printing, laminating, slitting and digital services. Besides, it has a service and technical assistance business unit that offers service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The company has two production centres in Brazil and Riudellots de la Selva (Girona, Spain). Furthermore, its widespread sales network extends to more than 100 countries, providing an answer to all its client’s needs.
Comexi includes the Manel Xifra Boada Technological Centre, Comexi CTec, where the company provides support and transfers its knowledge to the various groups involved in the flexible printing industry process.
