Donaldson demonstrated how an organisation can do great work through his presentation which was entitled ‘Continuous improvement to achieve excellence in production’.
Waste in newspaper production plants is a big concern. Minimise the waste; since this translates into more money. And this money can be deployed for further expansion and employees’ welfare, he said.
In his concluding remarks he said that improvement is not a one-time act, it is a continuous process. And organisations which have opted for improvements continuously are generating huge and great capacities. He said, "There are many management theories which you can opt for continuous improvement like TQM, NCIS, TPM, core principles and lean core principles. You can also create and implement your own management theory as well since every organisation is different with each other."
