Boettcher is in Hall 16/D05.
“For generations, we have impressively demonstrated our commitment to offset printing, where we supply rollers for nearly every type of press. This not only applies to the sheetfed presses, but also to changing machine configurations in newspaper printing and for long runs in commercial web printing,” Prabhat Kumar, product and marketing manager, Boettcher India, said.
Beside rollers, formulations for the company’s printing chemicals are developed in coordination with press manufacturers and are certified for use by Fogra. “Whether in offset, digital, flexography or gravure, our materials are convincing in quality and unbeaten in longevity. All this equates to improved economic viability for the user,” Kumar said.
At Drupa, the company will highlight the following:
New compound series for mixed mode printing and low-energy UV
The new compound series 277 30, 377 38 for ink rollers and 135 25 for dampening rollers achieve excellent resistance to common low-energy UV colours, and even against a lot of very aggressive UV inks for the area of non-absorbent substrates.
Böttcherin UV-Chameleon
The wash is capable of dissolving various UV inks effectively. In spite of its flame point of 79°C, it evaporates very quickly on the printing blanket. This prevents the accumulation of residual moisture on the blanket surface after washing. It is also suitable for combi printing with conventional inks and UV inks.
New cleaning gel for UV printing
BöttcherProCleanfix-UV is a special cleaning gel for inking rollers in UV printing, which removes this kind of residues and restores the original roughness and colour pick-up of the rollers. BöttcherinHybrid is suitable for both manual cleaning and use in automatic washing systems, if printing with hybrid or conventional inks.
Kumar said the Boettcher group is growing strongly in India and the world over by continuously innovating and introducing product as solution for un-met need in ever-changing printing demand and dynamics.
Kumar believes in the life and vibrancy of Indian printing and packaging industry, which is being driven by rapid urbanisation, investment in housing and construction, healthcare and plastic. “Packaging is expected to grow at 15% and India newspapers (web fed), led by tier-two cities, is expected to grow at 10-12%. We have the full potential to catch the growth and tap the untapped market,” Kumar said.
The group is also diversifying with its product in other growing sectors, such as, packaging, handrail, and heavy industry (steel, textile, wood).
Boettcher India has seen a marked growth since its inception. “In a thrust for growth and expansion, and to provide cost advantage, and to reduce lead-time with the same quality, we started with chemical blending plant and tube roller production facilities for sheetfed presses in India. Enthused by the feedback of the local rubber roller production from across the country, and to meet the ever-changing demand and challenges of printing and packaging industry, we are planning to set up a full-fledged roller production plant facility in this financial year. This will cater not only the printing industry but also the packaging, flexo, rotogravure, along with the industrial sector,” Kumar explained.
