The newly launched printing press will be available in 420, 390, 330 mm cut-off size for labels and packaging segments of the industry.

Ranesh Bajaj, director, Creed Engineers, said, “Indian packaging and labelling industry is growing at an annual growth rate of 22-25%. By the year 2017, it is expected to touch USD 60 billion. The factors that serve as catalysts for the growth of the industry are growing middle class population and purchasing capacity, government’s liberal policies, organised consumer and modern retail sector and finally supermarkets and mall culture in the country. Growth of food and beverage, pharmaceutical, textile and apparel industry directly pushes the growth of packaging and labelling industry.”

“The advanced heavy offset printing unit can prevent the ghosting and roller streaking effectively. Ink and water supply match with the machine’s speed automatically. The alcohol dampening system with auxiliary bridge rollers guarantees the vivid colour of production and clear dots. Main control table, which is movable between printing units to operate easily and all operations, is one of the features that make this machine unique,” he further added.

Vinsak LIO 420, 390 and 330 is capable of printing a sheet-size of 410x350 mm, 380x350 mm and 310x330 mm respectively. In-built intelligent control system (ICS) reduced the set-up time and enhanced the utilisation of materials and production efficiency.

The servo-controlled printing press can control the register in the lateral and longitudinal direction on the control table to enhance the quality of print by using static-image monitoring system. The press can also be equipped with optional features including re-pass system for additional colours, online coating unit, rotary-die cutting, cold foiling and offers a combination of offset, letterpress, flexo and screen printing units.

“The machine has been designed in Europe. We are expecting a good demand of this machine and we target to finalise around six installations by the end of this calendar year,” concluded Bajaj.
