Dainik Bhaskar Group has redefined the newspaper industry with a groundbreaking circulation surge, adding 1.5 lakh new copies between January and March 2025. This achievement is powered by Dainik Bhaskar's relentless drive for innovation, deep-rooted ground-level execution, and technology-enabled consumer engagement.
The success is the result of a well-executed, multi-pronged strategy. It began with large ground surveys conducted with a team of 900 people on the ground, utilising real-time data collection to gather insights directly from readers. This was complemented by an industry-first approach to reader onboarding, introducing OTP-based bookings. Central to this strategy was the reader acquisition campaign, Jeeto 14 Crore, which resulted in strong reader engagement and reaffirmed the enduring power of print media.
Rakesh Goswami, COO, operations, said, “This circulation growth isn’t just a number; it's a testament to our deep-rooted ground connect, tech-first execution, and reader-centric thinking. From our surveyors to top management, every team member played a crucial role in making this happen. ”
“At Dainik Bhaskar, we are always driven by one belief — to challenge the status quo. While people talked about digital play, we silently created a revolution on the ground,” Girish Agarwal, promoter director, Dainik Bhaskar Group said. “This growth shows that newspapers when reinvented with innovation, discipline, and reader love, are more powerful than ever. We’re proud that the readers are coming back to the newspapers.”
He added, “Dainik Bhaskar's strategic combination of tech-enabled processes, internal team motivation, agent empowerment, and engaging reader experiences is setting new benchmarks in the global newspaper industry. Dainik Bhaskar is not just reporting news — it is making efforts to rewrite the narrative of newspapers in India.”
