The new mailroom line which will be installed within a month’s period will support the new four tower double width KBA press.
RD Bhatnagar, chief technical officer, DB Corp, said, “The new KBA was installed at our Indore facility in December 2012. We wanted high performance and minimal breakdown. The Ferag mailroom system which operates at one lakh copies per hour will help us boost our productivity.”
Bhatnagar is impressed with Ferag’s innovations in mailroom systems. “The line runs at half gripper speed and each gripper holds two copies. Thus the life of the gripper is doubled without compromising the speed,” added Bhatnagar.
The mailroom system is equipped with UTR Universal conveyor which collects printed newspapers at the folder delivery and transports them to the mailroom at high speeds.
According to Ferag, the DB Group’s confidence in Ferag has been strengthened by the strong local service organisation in India.
