Dainik Jagran acquires an eight-tower Manugraph Cityline Express

IK Dogra, general manager, sales, Manugraph, said, “We have a long and strong relationship with Jagran Prakashan and are happy to say that they are the first company to buy the printing press which produces 32 broadsheet pages in colour as compared to the earlier, which could produce a maximum of 28 colour pages.”

Dainik Jagran is  the most read newspaper according to the IRS report (IRS 2012:- 16,412,000) among all daily newspapers in the country.

The eight four-colour integrated tower of the Cityline Express has a cut-off size of 546 mm. Jagran Prakashan comprises of a vast portfolio which includes multiple editions of Dainik Jagran, Business Standard, Inquilab,  Mail Today, Sunday Guardian, The Pioneer and Dinamalai in multiple languages which include Hindi, English, Urdu and Tamil. The Noida facility employs 135 people and has a daily run of more than six lakh copies.

SK Singh, general manager-production, Jagran, said, “This is our first press which is capable of printing 32 broadsheet colour pages and will help us cater to the increasing demand. Our shop floor already houses a raft of Manugraph presses and hence our team is aware of its technical know-how.”
