Deevya Shakti showcase range of white coated paper boards

Hyderabad-based Deevya Shakti Paper Mills showcased a range of its white coated paper board for the packaging and corrugation industry at PackPlus South 2013. The paper board manufacturing company mainly manufactures coated white paper board with white and grey back.

Y Eswara Reddy, vice president-marketing at Deevya Shakti Paper Mills, said, “Earlier the company targeted lamination, plywood and craft paper segment but in the last couple of years due to the surge in packaging and corrugation, we started concentrating on manufacturing coated white paper board with white and grey back.”

According to Reddy, Deevya Shakti is the first paper company in India to invest in a 4+1 multi-wire technology. Reddy said, “This is the high–end version of paper manufacturing. It paper manufacturing process ensures that a smooth surfaced paperboard is produced, which helps in printing at a high speed. This is important because runability  is critical aspect during printing."

The paper board manufacturer has the capacity to manufacture 350 tonnes per day and 70% of the products are FSC certified. The company also plans to launch folding box board (FBB) product in near future. Reddy said, “There are not many companies who manufacture grey back board with superior quality. We have added advantage due to the latest technology and infrastructure. We are also planning to launch FBB for the cigerette carton’s which is a huge market.”
