Vimal Paliwal, managing partner, Guru Ji Graphics, said, “Our existing customers are moving from offset to narrow-web flexo. With this, many new narrow-web flexo printing presses are coming up in Delhi-NCR. Thus, we found that the market is growing while players are still less in the segment.”

Guru Ji Graphics produces around 600 CTCP plates in 24 hours production cycle. “As we are already an established pre-press house, you can call this investment as a move towards diversification,” Paliwal explained about the investment on the last day of Labelexpo India on 20 November. “We will install the flexo CTP in our new facility in Noida. Our experience shows that we will get a strong foothold in the market.”

With this installation, Kodak now has total 24 installs of Flexcel NX flexo CTP systems in India.

The Kodak system offers sharp imaging and flat-top sharp dot, which increases the run length of the plates. The system utilises Kodak squarespot imaging technology to image a high resolution imaging layer. Imaging is fast, accurate and with an effective resolution of 10,000 dpi allows for implementation of advanced imaging features.
