Delhi’s Print Mart buys MGI Jetvarnish

Delhi-based digital printing business Print Mart has invested in a MGI Jetvarnish 3D One and a AccurioShine 101 embellishment printer. Bhatt said, “Konica Minolta is known for its after-sales support policy. Other than machine installation and few equipment operation-related support, the company also provides business development support to grow print volumes. This helps in approaching ROI faster than initial anticipation.”

Established in 2013, Print Mart started its journey with one 80-ppm printer and two partners —Atul Bhatt and Harish Satia. Over the years, the company has grown manifold in terms of customers and profitability.

“Earlier, we only catered to traditional print brokers and direct visitors. But with Jetvarnish, we have started approaching corporate clients as well to demonstrate the value of print,” Bhatt said.

He added that short-run labelling and packaging jobs have grown during the pandemic. “These jobs can now be performed on digital machines instead of traditional presses. Luxury packaging jobs are also growing,” he said.

The company has 25 centres in Delhi-NCR region. “We plan to expand further each year as we grow. All our facilities have Konica Minolta digital printing equipment installed,” he said.

The total strength of the team is 140. Bhatt said the company conducts periodic training in technological advancement in the digital printing industry and personal development programmes.

He added that Jetvarnish technology is user-friendly, and operations are performed through an automatic process. “Here, we require less operational involvement. In fact, the transition from installation to production happened seamlessly without any significant hiccups,” he said.

Bhat said after the installation, the company was able to increase customer satisfaction by providing more print products to its existing customers. “We have also recorded growth in additional customers who have started giving us print orders for digital embellishment. Also, these customers are giving digital print jobs. Thus, the Jetvarnish has not only helped us grow our digital embellishment business but also amplify our existing digital print business. Moreover, we have witnessed production reliability and highly efficient quality accuracy in our print jobs after the installation,” he said.

Now, the company would like to grow in all facets of digital printing. “Short-run luxury packaging in segments like cosmetics, food, liquor, and perfume is growing, and we aim to bank on this opportunity. Also, we would like to integrate the right workflow to build synergies into production and customer interface. Our focus area is to create more applications in different business verticals,” Bhatt said.
