Destination Silvassa for STB along with EFI CEO Gecht
After Canon’s Puneet Datta shared his digital mantras in April and Anand Deshpande, founder, and MD, Persistent Systems addressed the issue of Basic Requirements for Growth, Mumbai's premier print association, the BMPA is re-booting it prized Share to Benefit Forum (StB). The idea as Mehul Desai, president of BMPA said is, "A new broad-share mandate".

On 7 July, the BMPA group will travel to Silvassa as part of series of Destination STB’s which are going to become a periodic feature. This will include a plant visit at Award Offset Printers & Packaging in Silvassa during the first half of the day followed by a visit to the Akar Limited plant in the second half.
The day long factory visits will be hosted by fellow StBians Ashok Jain of Akar and Nitin Shah of Award.
In August, STB shall host EFI’s CEO Guy Gecht in the BMPA office for an exclusive group of 18 print CEOs.
Guy Gecht will speak about artificial intelligence and the impact the next wave of advanced technology is having.
At the 17th Electronics for Imaging Connect conference he said, “As with the developments we have all seen with personal computers and mobile technology, artificial intelligence promises to create more opportunities. In print, it can drive preventive diagnostics and predictive maintenance, which helps our customers improve their top and bottom lines.”
Faheem Agboatwala, founder and chariman of StB, said, “We have a super line up of speakers and subjects – this September we have requested P Narendra of Pragati to address us on a burning issue, this will be a brainstorming session and we hope this will be the beginning of something big.”
