Alex Antony of Digital House said, “The print quality of the Canon 10000 is better than most of the cutsheet digital colour printers in the market. It is more towards matte finish. The extra-long size, 13x30-inch, was also an added attraction. The click charge by Canon is one of the best in the industry and is same across the country.”
With this investment, Digital House has replaced its HP Indigo 3050, which was almost five years old.
“We have a Xerox 1000 digital press as well,” Antony said, adding, “We tested most of the high-end digital presses available in the market before finalising on the Canon 10000VP.”
The digital printing press can produce 50 prints of size 13x19 in a minute on 60 to 350 gsm substrate. It can also produce 13x30-inch long prints. “The print finish is kind of matte which is getting popular among the customers. We use the machine mainly for commercial prints like business cards, invitations, brochures, flyers and others,” he added.
According to Antony, the production speed of the machine is at par with most of the top-end digital presses available in the industry. “The press also does not slow down while doing mixed media printing. This clearly helps us to improve our productivity. The textured media handling capability of the machine is amazing compared to other toner-based machines,” he said.
Digital House has a team of 30 people and works from a 4,500-sq/ft area.
Antony concluded, “For future growth, reach is the key factor we are looking at. We are increasing the visibility of our brand through different marketing models. We have a print volume of around 5,000 per day on various substrates.”
