The colour control software combined with Digital Information’s InkZone, integrates five new regulation strategies like gray balance priority and gray stabilitation, and other standardisation upgrades, which according to Vishnu Kamat, AVP – sales at Mumbai-based representative of Digital Information, Advanced Graphic Systems, makes printing of sensitive picture “stable” and allows printers to print at international standard as well as create house standards.

Kamat, who is present at Drupa, said, “The other two new modules include the dry wet compensation according to Lab values and eight global standards according to eight paper types with lab references.” He added, “These two combined with the five new regulations takes the guesswork out of colour correction for the press operator.”

Also on stand running live are two pre-proofers, a large-format PP 9700 fitted with high definition cameras and a prototype PP 4900, which is set for a Photokina 2012 launch in Cologne, Germany later in September this year. Both the proofers feature Epson printers, with the smaller PP 4900 aimed at the photo-album segment of the market.

Besides Digital Information, Advanced Graphic System is also making its presence felt at the X-Rite Pantone stand (Hall 5/Stand D23) and the Alwan Color Expertise stand (Hall 9/ Stand D10).
