Speaking to PrintWeek India, Swapnil Sansare, chief executive officer and founder of Divide By Zero, said, “The machine accepts design input from any CAD software in form of htl file format and uses ABS thermoplastic polymer wire to extrude plastic layers to form a 3D object.”
The 3D printer can produce 3D objects of size up to 160x160x160mm. It can cater a range of applications in rapid prototyping for bottle industry, tool makers, mould making for candles, cup-cakes etc. “Though it is not viable for commercial production, it will help the product designers to realise the design concepts,” added Sansare.
“We have received a very good response at the show. The visitors have appreciated the product since it is entirely made in India and hence service support and spare parts is not an issue,” said Sansare.
