Drupa 2016 committee expands to include seven global manufacturers
Drupa committee of industry representatives along with Messe Dusseldorf have organised the print mega event since 1951 has expanded to include representatives of major manufacturing companies Baumann Maschinenbau, Bielomatik, EFI, Hewlett Packard International, Leonhard Kurz Stiftung, Manroland and Technotrans.

With the addition of Volkmar Assmann, managing partner, Baumann Maschinenbau, Dirk Vößing, managing director, Bielomatik, Frank Tückmantel, vice president corporate marketing, EFI, Francois Martin, worldwide marketing manager, Hewlett Packard International, Walter Kurz, chairman of the executive board, Leonhard Kurz Stiftung, Eckhard Hörner-Maraß, managing director, Manroland and Christof Soest, member of the executive board, Technotrans the Drupa 2016 committee’s numerical strength stands at 26.
While talking about the latest additions to the committee Werner Matthias Dornscheidt, president and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf said, “With this decision we’re taking into account current developments in the printing and media industry – above all the following aspects: the growing significance of digital printing with the resulting demands on post-press operations, continually increasing automation across all process stages and the mega trends value-added printing and packaging. I’m delighted that we were able to secure the involvement of these global players in the Drupa committee.”
The Drupa committee is responsible for making key decisions regarding the biggest print trade fair in the world. The committee consists of exhibitor representatives from all of Drupa’s encompassed technological spectrums – from pre-media to printing to post-press processing or packaging production and paper processing, respectively, as well as the paper and printing ink industry. The user side is also represented on the Committee by a diverse range of media service providers.
Drupa 2016 is scheduled to be held on31 May- 10 June 2016.
