Makasarwala said the driving factor for this investment was the good potential for growth in short-quantity commercial printing. “We already have HP Indigo 12000 and are seeing a trend change. "There is a significant growth potential in short-run commercial printing. We already have HP Indigo 12000, and we are observing a shift in the short-run market, which is the driving force behind this decision."

Makasarwala, a user of the HP Indigo press, expressed his satisfaction with the machine's quality and output. He said, "The support provided by HP and Redington ensures that the machine is always up and running, which is crucial for us. Digital machines are sensitive, but we can ensure its utilisation with the right support, giving us confidence in its reliability."

The Indigo 120K can reach speeds of 6,000 sheets per hour and produce over two million B2 sheets per month. According to HP, the machine reduces human touch points and enables a single operator to perform multi-press operations. It delivers offset-matching image quality and an Eco mode option that minimises the machine's carbon footprint by 11%.

Makasarwala added, "With the increased productivity of the machine and its redesigned configuration, I believe it will be at least 30 to 40% more productive than our current machine. Therefore, I am confident that the higher productivity will increase output and profitability."

A Appadurai, country manager for Indigo and inkjet business solutions, HP India, said, “The pride associated with owning an HP Indigo resonates among printers globally, and we are profoundly honoured by our partnership with Silverpoint. HP and Silverpoint share a unified vision: delivering best-in-class quality and service for short-run printing in India."

Over the last decade, the digital printing industry has undergone a tremendous transformation. “With the revolution of HP’s HD digital printing press for the commercial printing industry, today, our customers can innovate and technologically advance their offerings to meet the evolving market needs. We are proud to collaborate with India's finest commercial printing house and hope their trust and faith in HP’s digital technology helps them achieve the highest standard of print quality, which will be their competitive differentiator,” said Appadurai.
