Who had the best stall at Drupa 2016?
Many of them had massive stalls showcasing a variety of equipment, but I believe Kodak had a unique stall.
Which was the technology that dazzled you the most?
It was Landa's nano technology which was the most dazzling one. The machine is automated and digitalised and is easy to use. It has absolutely no wastage and even the first sheet printed on it is saleable. Makeready hardly takes any time and every sheet can have a different design since its digital. The print result with this technology is outstanding. And the speed of the machine is totally at par with all the offset presses for commercial use. I think this is the technology to look for. Having said that, this technology can be a revolution in the commercial print market only when it will be affordable to the majority of the classes.
What was the least impressive thing at Drupa in 2016?
I think all the companies were trying to showcase their best, in their own way.
One unknown company to watch out?
Highcon is really a super innovative company to look for. Their 3D modelling and variable data cutting machine can really do wonders.
If money was no bar one investment you would like to make?
If money was no bar, then I would love to buy the Kolbus all-in-one rigid box machine with inline die-cutting, grooving, pasting and box making capabilities. With its superb finishing and customisation, this machine really gives me a high.
