Durst targets industrial application with Rho IP engine launch

Durst (Hall 06/ Stand C60) has introduced Rho IP inkjet engine for industrial screen and pad printing applications at Drupa.

A flagship of the Rho inkjet range of offerings, Rho IP is targeted at the production of membrane switches, instrument panels, dashboards, cover plates and pad printing applications for which - the templates can be mounted on to the table.

The standard table is of size 300x600 mm and uses mechanical pin registration along with applied vacuum through microscopic pores in an aluminum plate.
 
The company said that the machine features up to five ink channels (CMYK plus white) with six printheads per channel.  The print engine can be equipped with up to 15,000 nozzles producing a printing speed of eight seconds per bed in single pass mode, or 20 seconds per bed in scanning four-colour mode.  Variable data printing can also be included in the four-colour scanning mode.
