Easy Print strengthens digital finishing with a Duplo kit
Ahmedabad-based Easy Print, a digital printing arm of pre-press specialist, Satyam Scan Graphic & Process has strengthens its digital capability by adding a Duplo 645 slitter, cutter, creaser. The Duplo 645 has been installed a fortnight ago by TechNova, however, the announcement was made during PrintExpo 2014.

Established in 202, Satyam Scan is managed by Mahendra Mehta, and his two brothers Dinesh and Dipak. Satyam Scan diversified into digital printing with Easy Print in 2012 is equipped with a Konica Minolta C8000, and besides the Dupla 645 also has manual slitting, cutting and creasing machine for finishing. The firm produces short-run commercial printing jobs like brochures, booklets, photo-albums etc.
“We all know the restriction of manual machines. The Duplo 645 has quickened the process binding, has made perfect-bound book-making smooth. The automatic high capacity feeder has enabled us to produce professional quality, full-bleed applications,” said Mehta, director at Easy Print. “It’s has genuinely made our finishing operation a lot flexible,”
The offline device can handle 26ppm products of up to 370x650mm and a minimum output slit width of 48x85mm. It also handles non-coated, coated and laminated paper types of up to 350gsm. It has six rotary slitters, and can cut up to 15 cuts per sheet and 10 creases per sheet.
