Edis Publishing and Promotional Packaging strengthens post-press with Proteck kit

The Indian operation centre of the Italian company, EDIS s.p.a, based out of Bengaluru, has installed three new Proteck post-press equipment to their new setup, Edis Publishing and Promotional Packaging.

“We have installed an Automatic Paper Jogger CSJ 10 and two guillotine cutting machines XC 137 and XC 116; wherein the jogger is used to jog the pile of printed sheets before it is transferred to the XC 137 where we cut the sheets into quadrotta,” said Kiran Prabhu, manager-operations at Edis.

EDIS Publishing and Promotional Packaging, manufactures trading cards and sticker collections, packaged collectible and promotional products such as in-pack premiums and promotional gadgets.

“For 20 years, Edis Italy has been producing trading card and sticker collections for the world’s best known publishers, while our promotional premiums find their way to supermarkets, fresh and frozen foods, magazines, petrol stations, fast-food restaurants, cereal boxes, crisp bags and more,” said Prabhu.

“The ease of use of all the three machines is high in comparison to the competitors, and we, especially, are impressed with the XC 116 and the features in both the cutters to adjust the knife settings without tools and the special knife changing tool which ensure easy and quick replacement with minimum downtime,” he said.

The company, which started operations in December 2012, is all set to kick start production for a trading card game by the end of January.
