EFI started November with acquisition announcement of Shuttleworth Business Systems, the UK-based MIS major.
The nitty gritty of the deal is yet to be revealed, but EFI's release says 'it (the deal) is not expected to be material to EFI's Q4 or full-year 2015 results.'
"We are excited to welcome Shuttleworth customers and employees into the EFI family," said Gabriel Matsliach, senior vice president and general manager of EFI Productivity Software.
"We intend to continue to meet and exceed the needs of Shuttleworth's existing client base with the same enthusiasm that Shuttleworth has for the many years they've been in business, while offering those customers access to the full portfolio of EFI products and enabling them to implement complete, end-to-end, business and production workflows that drive efficiency and profitability," added Matsliach.
Shuttleworth, which was established in 1981, has customers across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. In India, the company has more than 50 customers and this deal would further strengthen EFI's bid to make inroads into the Indian MIS market.
"We are very excited to join the EFI family and are confident in the additional value they can bring to our customers. EFI has the technology, skill and reach that will enable Shuttleworth customers continued growth and success for years to come," said Andy King, joint managing director of Shuttleworth.
The acquisition is close on the heels of the acquisition announcement of San Diego-based Corrugated Technologies Inc. (CTI), a leading provider of manufacturing execution software for the corrugated packaging market.
EFI, which has more than 3,000 staff worldwide, reported record revenue for Q3 of this year, $228.7 m, a rise of 16% compared with Q3 of 2014 when sales were $197.7m.
