The aim, according to Gulve, is to transform the print industry from analogue to digital printing, thereby adding value and boosting productivity.

“EFI has invested significantly both locally and internationally in acquisitions, R&D and product development. As a result, new and existing customers here in India can be more than just competitive in the industry's highest-growth emerging markets.”

Gulve said, innovation is key, and the 16% of EFI’s revenue is spent in R&D in good times and bad. “The LED technology is a collection of low cost, less wastage, reduced labour and usage of broad substrate range; the Productivity Suites integrates components for profitability; the Fiery is the fastest RIP solution with highest colour standards among others, to name a few.”
