Naresh Kumar, managing director at Macromedia, winner of the awards, speaking to PrintWeek India in Singapore, said, “We had sent entries in the photo-book as well as wide-format segments in different types like green, transit, etc.” He added, “We submitted jobs which are commercially delivered. These print jobs are hand-picked keeping in mind the differentiation and wow factors, in short, these are deviation from the normal.”
Macromedia used special papers, special pre-press enhancement and post-press work for the entry it submitted for the calendar event. “This print job was for a gay community, and we wanted to convey the correct message through the calendar,” said Kumar.
HP also used the awards platform to showcase the HP Latex 3500 and 3100 Printers, expanding its latex technology portfolio, and adding the HP Scitex 17000 corrugated press to its digital corrugated offering.
“PSPs are increasingly faced with complex jobs and shorter lead times, stretching existing equipment to meet client demand,” said Jeff de Kleijn, director and general manager, graphics solutions business – sign & display, HP Asia Pacific and Japan. “The new HP latex printers further establish HP’s industrial latex portfolio, delivering a new level of productivity and operational efficiency to help our customers fulfill even the most demanding high-volume sign and display print jobs.”
