Entries begin for PWI Awards 2011
Manipal Press and International Print o Pac were the PrintWeek India Printing Company of the Year Award winners in 2009 and 2010.

They have set the benchmark for the third edition of PrintWeek Awards.
PrintWeek India launched the third edition of its Awards event on 1 April 2011. Enquiries have been pouring in for the 24 categories. The new deadline for sending entries is 25 June.
The judging for the Awards will take place on 29 July 2011 and the Awards Night on 25 August 2011.
As in the previous two editions, a select panel of jury comprising of print customers and experts will evaluate print entries in 24 categories.
Ashwin Mudliar, advertising manager for PrintWeek India stated: "Participating print frims have already started to collate and create the best print samples for the Awards. There are several categories to enter and the work of the winning print companies work will feature in PrintWeek India’s Book of the Night 2011 which will be launched at the grand event of the Awards night."
Major print firms for PrintWeek India Awards 2010 have come on board for the third edition in 2011.
Canon, the main sponsors of the Awards for the first two edition, reinstated their faith for the third edition as well. Similarly, Bobst, Welbound, AGS, X-rite, Digital Information Ink Zone, GMC and Grafica have confirmed sponsorship for various Awards 2011 categories.
Having been involved with the event since its inception two years ago, Canon India’s senior vice president Alok Bharadwaj, said: "With the growing economy, the digital print industry is expanding rapidly in India. The PrintWeek India Awards is the Oscars of this industry. It is a privilege associating with this prestigious award event and help the industry set benchmarks."
Vishnu Kamat, assistant vice president at Advanced Graphic Systems (AGS), said: "The PWI Awards winners are setting high standards and shaping the way print is moving, just as X-Rite and Digital Information are doing in terms of technology. We are happy to support their continued innovation in these exciting times for the print industry."
Bhargav Mistry, managing director at Grafica Flextronica, said: "Screen printing is one of most dynamic and trend-setting segments, today. As part of the sponsorship Grafica will give away a prize to the award winning firm, which is the Grafica Nano Print."
