Chennai-based ePrint Machinery, the Indian representative of Japanese book finishing specialist Horizon displayed a range of post-press solutions at its stall at the Pamex show.
At the stall, live demonstration of booklet maker, signature collator, a perfect binder for variable binding from Horizon was held at the show. In addition to this, a cutting machine from developed by ePrint was also displayed at the show.
"We have already installed four ePrint cutting machine and three are in the pipeline," informed Omprakash HR, managing director of ePrint machinery and the brain behind the cutting machine.
Talking about the Horizon range of machines, he said, “Today, customers are aware and want automation in post-press which would help lowering labour dependency. Horizon has the perfect solution for the high volume offset segment and POD segment or the latest trend ‘print on demand' books”.
"The booklet maker SPF 200 series is an inline booklet making system and is apt for short to medium run jobs such as newspaper dailies with localised content as it supports fully automated changeover," informed Omprakash.
"The BQ 270V perfect binder is equipped with book thickness caliper which allows on-demand book production of variable spine thickness," he added.
Since its appointment as the sole representative of Horizon in India, ePrint Machine has sold 32 machines in total from the range of machines from Horizon. ePrint currently has a team of eight service engineers trained at the Horizon's Japan-based factory in India.
