Epson completes multiple Stylus Pro 9860 installations
Epson has recently completed multiple installations of its Stylus Pro 9860, large format digital printer. This includes installations at Pune-based DG Copiers, Prayash Copiers and Shree Services.

"This machine is ideally suited for indoor, POP, posters, commercial photo printing and copy-shops," said Rajjimon Raghavan, area head, CBU west, Epson India.
Pune-based D G Copiers has successfully installed Epson Stylus Pro 9860 in two of its branches to cater to CAD/CAM applications and graphic printing. Gaurav Damle of D G Copiers said, "We have installed the Epson SP 9860 around eight months back and have been very satisfied with the quality production of this plotter. The main USP of the plotter is the low-run cost. So we decided to add one more machine for second branch."
Similarly, Prayash Copiers has invested in the same for CAD/CAM proficiency and architectural purposes. "We cater to architects and architectural students from colleges around Pune, Solapur, and Ahmendnagar and engineering industry. Around 600 architectural students are catered by us throughout the year and this machine helps us to provide 24/7 service," said Nitin Kurle of Prayash Copiers.
Shree Services, which has a team of interior designers and CAD drafters, are purely in business of CAD drawings for architectural applications has added Epson SP 9860 and claims to have utilised the machine to its maximum potential.
The Epson Stylus Pro 9860, which is a large format digital printer, is suitable for different kinds of large format applications such as commercial, retail and graphics applications. It has a micro piezo TFP (thin film piezo) printhead that utilises six-colour photographic dye-based ink system to achieve greater efficiency.
According to Raghavan, the significant feature of the machine is Mirco Piezo TFP print head which has micro-fine nozzles that creates ink droplets of size as small as 3.5 picoliter onto print media. It offers a throughput with 360 nozzles per colour, while a special ink-repellent coating reduces the occurrence of clogging. This machine has a printing resolution of 2,880x1,440dpi and can handle media thickness from 0.08 to 1.50 mm.
The company will demonstrate the working of Epson Stylus Pro 9860 at Media Expo 2013 which is slated to be held from 15 -17 February, 2013 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai.
