Duncan Ferguson, executive director, professional graphics and robotics, Epson Europe, said, “We had a very successful Drupa. This was Epson’s biggest ever showcase for the most complete range of inkjet printers for pre-press, signage, photographic, textile and label applications. The stand was busy with visitors and we are delighted with high number of orders.”
“The interest in the new SureColor SC-S signage range of printers was so high that Epson has increased the production in order to keep up with the demand. The SurePress L-6034 UV digital label press is being delivered to print-ID in Germany and the first in the UK was sold to Superfast Labels,” said Ferguson.
Within the print shop zone, Epson showed its desktop solutions which enable the companies to offer a collaborative design and print service to produce a wide variety of personalised products on a wide range of substrates.
Ferguson concluded, “The new ColorWorks C7500 label printer alongside the SC-F2000 direct-to-textile printer in particular attracted the visitors at the stall. The show launch of Epson’s new 44-inch SureColor SC-P10000 wide-format printer was a success with sales of ten machines, including four to Picto in France, and the company has also dicussed the order for four of the 64-inch SC-P20000.”
Talking to PrintWeek India, L K Vasudevan, DGM - prographic products, sales and marketing, Epson India, said, “For the Epson Surecolor S series, we have an active install base of over 300 units in India. Our new S series sales have started from May 2016. For the Surepress L6034 VW once again the response has been excellent and we are working on closing multiple prospects in the near future. The F2000 direct-to-garment has an install base in double digits in India.”
