For this year’s PrintWeek India Awards contest, the label category was split in two – Label Printer of the Year (Self-adhesive) and Label Printer of the Year (Wet-glue). The reason: while wet-glue labels are considered best alternatives, self-adhesive label are setting new records in its own way, with labellers looking for niche opportunities and finding ways to create added value in terms of product offerings.

Ramprasad said, “We believe this will inspire service providers to look at label printing as not just one more routine print job, but a specialised one, which can add value to the brands which are using labels.”

He added, “The PrintWeek India Awards also provide us the perfect opportunity to connect with key stake holders in the print industry to showcase our amazing offering. The PrintWeek India Awards will be held on 6 October, 2014, entries for which have started to come in.
