Speaking to PrintWeek India, Niranjan Delavictoire, general manager – South Asia, Esko, said, “It is the first multifunction super-wide digital finisher for signage, display and packaging applications for wide-format digital printing supporting up to 3.2m size with need for higher volumes and faster turnaround times on a wide variety of materials.”

According to Delavictoire, the Indian customers can place their order for the machine. Speaking about the response from Indian printers, Delavictoire said, “We are engaged with many customers. Being a capex investment,  we expect this machine to find its way at a customer location in early 2014.”

Kongsberg C table is a versatile system, which can process a wide spectrum of substrate for extensive range of applications like paper, textiles, corrugated board up to triple wall, honeycomb, flute core boards, plastics and aluminum composites.

According to Esko, the machine has been reengineered to apply to highest standards of industrial design and meet the operator’s needs for ergonomics and safety.

Tom Naess, Esko product manager for CAM, said “We wanted to make sure that it was designed for 24/7 production and semi-industrial environments. Along with substantial flexibility, the new, wide-format machine perfectly fits 3.2m wide-format printers, working with wide rolls and wide sheets.”
