Exchange of packaging ideas and technology at the PBF
On October 30 2015 PrintWeek India will host its first edition of Packaging Buyers’ Forum. The event, held at the ITC Grand Central, Parel, Mumbai, will see print buyers converse and confabulate over technology and ideas which play a critical role in packaging perception.

The half day event, partnered by Bobst India, Manipal Technologies and QuadTech will see each of them bring in their expertise in the respective field for the benefit of the participants.
Hemant Desai, general manager for QuadTech India will speak about managing the brand owners’ expectations with colour automation. In his presentation, Desai will map the brand owners expectation in terms of colour vis-à-vis the expectations from the printers. Desai said, “Automation in colour standards will be necessary for reducing the changeover time while maintaining the quality of the output which is critical in brands.”

The QuadTech colour quality solution enables automatic sharing and processing of colour data between in-line colour control and off-line colour measurement industry leaders.
Venugopal Menon, vice president, BU sheetfed – Indian Subcontinent, Bobst India will touch upon the pain points with a solution in mind and will discuss the global best practices that influence retail marketing and cost optimisation. Additionally, representing the convertors will be Manipal Technologies, the PrintWeek India Company of the Year Award. Manipal will also deliver a keynote at the Forum.
The forum will provide a platform, where packaging enthusiasts will have space for reflection and an opportunity to discuss the latest trends. With the packaging industry eyeing the USD 43.7 bn mark, there is an increasing need for platforms where issues related to packaging can be addressed.
