Exhibitor pressure ensures Drupa reverts to four year cycle
It's all happening at Drupa 2016. A terrorist plot being thwarted, a fire which broke started in a storage unit just outside the Messe grounds, to the show being hosted from 23 June to 3 July 2020. The authorities have announced, the print and cross-media solutions to be "held in Düsseldorf again shall return to its proven four-year cycle. Dornscheidt added, "This is one of the reasons why Drupa is such a beacon. Precisely this investment – this is what many representatives of the exhibitor community have assured us over the past few days here – they want to be at and with drupa in the future, their No. 1 international industry platform. Therefore in the interest of our customers and international markets, Drupa will stick to its four-year cycle.”
There are two more days to go to Drupa 2016 which will culminate on 10 June.
1,837 exhibitors from 54 countries - including 48 from India - are showcasing solutions in Düsseldorf’s 19 exhibition halls. Approximately 200,000 visitors from 183 countries - including 25,000 from India - have visited the show since day one of the event.
According to the Messe authorities, "The percentage of visitors from throughout the world has also been extremely high so far: 78% have come from abroad."
