As many as 161 Indian exhibitors have already confirmed their presence at Paperex, the ‘12th International Exhibition and Conference on Pulp and Paper Industry’, scheduled to be held from 1 to 4 November 2015 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The organisers are expecting more than 500 leading exhibitors from over 40 countries, including China, Brazil, Italy, France, Taiwan, Finland, Germany, to be a part of the four-day event, the largest exhibition and conference in India for the pulp, paper and conversion industry.
With an expected footfall of 30,000 trade visitors, the exhibition will also have a high-level technical conference to serve the industry as a forum for intellectuals to share their knowledge and experience in the pulp and paper industry.
The exhibition comes at a time when the prospects for the paper and pulp industry in India look bright. India has 15% of the world’s population but consumes only 2% of the world paper. The demand is expected to grow between 6-7% per annum with the packaging industry poised to grow between 10 to 15% annually. Further reports state that only 60% of the current paper-making capacity is being used in India.
