FAPGA forum on 7-9 August in Malaysia

The 15th forum of the Forum of Asia Pacific Graphic Arts (FAPGA) will be held on 7-9 August 2015 in Malaysia. The theme for this year’s forum is ‘print ecology,’ which, according to Suresh Rajendran, secretary general, FAPGA, is quite relevant with the present world atmosphere scenario.

“I am glad that the Malaysian Printers Association has made elaborate arrangements for the meeting. I request all FAPGA members to register as delegate for this meeting directly with the Malaysian Printers Association at the earliest,” Suresh added.

The 14th forum of FAPGA was organised in Shanghai, China in November 2014 and most of the member countries attended that meeting.

“The theme selected for this meeting is ‘print ecology,’ which really emphasises the need for adopting green printing. When we say green printing, we have to use recycled paper and environment-friendly printing materials in our processes to ensure green printing. We have got to move with the time so as to pay our share for saving the earth and to keep it environment-friendly,” said Peter Lane, chairman, FAPGA.

The theme of the 14th forum of FAPGA last year was ‘innovation, opportunity and future’, where the member countries presented the country papers highlighting the activities in their respective places. “The discussions were quite relevant with our objectives to work as a common association that will provide the appropriate environment for high quality information and technology exchange where FAPGA member-countries can best position the printing industry in a globally competitive world,” Lane added.
