Flexo Gurukul's second edition to explore colour management

Fasco Printech will hold its second edition of Flexo Gurukul from 27 to 28 October 2014, two days prior to the opening of Labelexpo 2014 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

Flexo Gurukul is a seminar-based technical training programme for printers in the flexo and narrow-web industry or are willing to enter into the narrow and wide web flexography printing.

Pawandeep Sahni of Fasco Printech, said, “The two day seminar will see the international flexo expert, Frank Burgos, president of USA-based FlexoExchange.com, a company recognized for training services provided by them in the field of flexographic printing, talking on controlling colour in the flexo press room." 

"Colour is one of the most critical part of the printing process and Burgos would be covering the various challenges a company faces in the flexo press room for managing colour and how to over come them," he added.

Sahni said, “The programme is an attempt to train and strengthen the people in the flexo printing industry in India. It is a programme which aims to impart technical knowledge in flexo printing with an unbiased approach. Flexo Gurukul, which starts from basic level, will gradually progress to the advanced stage of flexo printing.”

The previous edition of the Flexo Gurukul programme was held at Khar Gymkhana in Mumbai from 28 to 29 April, 2014 and covered some basic topic on flexo printing like, flexo inks, controlling ink properties throughout the press run, photopolymer plates, photopolymer plate defects and their effects on printing.

More than 60 companies have registered so far.
