Flint Group India inaugurates new liquid ink plant in Vadodara
Flint Group India inaugurated its new liquid ink manufacturing plant in Savli near Vadodara, Gujarat. Antoine Fady, chief executive officer Flint Group inaugurated the plant.

Speaking on the occasion, Upal Roy, managing director at Flint Group India, said, “We want to be closer to the customers and reduce delivery time. The new plant will be in a position to cater to the growing needs of major packaging customers in north and west India. North is a big market and we have 40% share; which is huge.”
On being asked how this new facility will benefit the industry? Roy said, “The facility will not only manufacture liquid ink but will also help in finding the colour solution for the print buyers and convertors. Whenever there is a problem in regards to colour matching, our technical team from research and development department will provide right solutions.”
Flint Group in India started as a joint venture with Incowax in 2001 before becoming a 100% subsidiary in 2006. In 2010, the ink manufacturing announced that it will open a new plant in Gujarat and since last six months the new plant is in operation. Till date, Flint has invested 25 million US dollars in Indian operation.
Commenting on the occasion, Antoine Fady, said, “We are witnessing the rise in the need of packaged products especially in higher middle class. To cater to this increasing demand, the multinational companies are emphasising on the attractive and effective packaging. This has led to increase in ink requirement. We have been and we will continue to provide the high quality inks to the Indian packaging industry.”
In 2012, Flint Group India partnered with Avery Dennison India, Gallus India, Esko, Dupont and Rotometrics to form Knowledge Centre in Bengaluru.
