Frank Burgos will be speaking on various chapters like the three main flexo printing inks, controlling ink properties throughout a press run, photopolymer plates, photoplymer plate defects and their effects on printing, flexo plate mounting tapes, the anilox rollers and tying it all together.

Meanwhile, more than 100 participants have confirmed their presence. This includes names like Ajanta Packaging, Renualt Paper, Arunodaya, Zircon Technologies, Janus International, Pragati Pack, Sel Jegat Printers and Sai Packaging among others.

Flexo Gurukul, a concept and initiative by Fasco Printech is a seminar-based technical training programme for printers who are printing on flexo presses or are willing to enter into the narrow and wide web flexography printing.

Flexo Gurukul will have two sessions every year and in each session the chapters get more advanced from the previous session.

Pawandeep Sahni, of Fasco Printech, said, “Every session will be advanced than the previous one. Hence it is recommended that participants maintain continuity. To make sure that this continuity remains, we have a ‘first right of refusal for all participants who join us for the Spring 2014 session. This means if a participant joined us for Spring 2014, his seat gets blocked for Autumn 2014 automatically and can only be released once the participant wishes to attend.”

Sahni concluded, “For the first technical seminar till now we have more than 100 confirmed participants and this includes big names. The label printing firms understand the importance of the education which will help them in the long run. We intend to improve the current working condition which will not only bring success but also improve the productivity.”
