SM Ramprasad, assistant vice-president of India operations at Fujifilm, said one of the problems that the eco-solvent printers face is the frequent head failure. “For the first time, an eco-solvent printer will have an industrial quality printheads that run on Peizo DOD technology, which will help the PSPs in terms of having its robustness.”
The no-odour eco-solvent inks are ROHS compliant and comes in four-colour set. “A very attractive print cost, a robust printhead and the total cost of investment are the key catches,” said Ramprasad. “Plus it’s a made in India product.”
The Vybrant 1800 will be available for deliver by November 2016. “The printers in New Delhi are eagerly waiting for the machine, but we are constrained to tell them to wait for a month, by which time we start delivering this product,” said Ramprasad.
