Over the years in its digital printing business, Futura Digital never remained inactive when it comes to upgrading its production facility located on KR Road in Bengaluru. Key machines at the facility are some advanced digital production presses from Xerox, Konica Minolta, and the new Canon ImagePress V800.
“We are still proud to be the first owner of a digital production press in India, which we installed in 1999,” KN Shivakumar, director of Futura Digital Color Press, said. “Rising from the scratch, the first day of our business is dated back to 1988 when I, with my brother, Harish Kumar, barely started it with screen printing. We rapidly expanded into diverse verticals. We persistently invested in modern and advanced machines to bolster our productivity and print quality.”
Futura Digital opened its KR Road unit in 1999, expansively engaging in services for printing and production of visiting cards, brochures, flyers, tickets, invitations, pamphlets, bill books, stickers, labels, ID cards, visual aids, manuals, cover pages, so on. Shivakumar said, “We could pull off everything seamlessly because of the advanced machines we currently run.”
Futura Digital has another unit at Chamarajpet.
Shivakumar said, “Every single machine now running at our KR Road unit’s production facility is vital regarding the role it plays in boosting print quality and productivity. In this respect, the new Canon ImagePress V800 is also a capable digital production press. We use this machine to print high textured boards and papers, using different types of media including synthetic.”
Flexibility in media handling and advanced features to deliver stunning colours and exceptional print quality are some attributes of the Canon ImagePress V800 that eventually make it a machine of choice for Futura Digital. This compact Canon digital press performs at the speed of 81 A4 images per minute (ipm), compatibly taking in thinner and heavier stocks from 80gsm inner book pages up to 350gsm covers, envelopes, synthetic, and long sheets. It is equipped with the latest Fiery P400 Controller for quick processing of files and delivering 2400x2400dpi print resolution with highly accurate and consistent front and back registration.
