Future of print discussed at Print Olympiad
Print Olympiad, an event hosted by AIFMP (All India Federation of Master Printers) was held at the Guru Jambeshwar University at Haryana on 13 March 2016 . The event themed around the future of print, saw participation by students and professors from universities across India.

Lakshmi Priya TKS, professor - printing department at the Avinashilingam University presented on 'The glimpses of academic research towards the future of printing'.
Addressing the students, Lakshmi Priya said, "Many of us think printing is only about newspapers and cards etc, but printing as a subject has a lot of technology involved and I would urge all the students to change their mindset and embrace printing as a subject."
During the presentation, she touched upon topics ranging from VDP technology, electronics printing, 3D printing among others and applications in various sectors ranging from pharmaceutical, automobiles etc.
"Printing is a mix of technology, science and management. And te way forward for printers is to project themselves as a total solution provider," said Lakshmi Priya.
