The process change from flexographic printing unit to screen printing unit requires just a few simple steps, said Samir Patkar, regional sales head – Asia for Gallus. "The two printing units can be exchanged using a sliding carriage and then be reconnected to the machine base," he said.
During the demonstration the Labelmaster Advanced at the Print Media Center at Gallus equipped with one screen printing unit and eight flexographic printing units achieved absolute register accuracy running at 160 meters/min during the demonstration. "This is achievable without any manual readjustment after each job change," said Patkar.
The Labelmaster Advance can run at a maximum speed of 200 meters/min and is direct servo system without gears.
The hybrid LED UV capable system press is also among the fastest of the Gallus' presses to cross the 50-installation mark.
Aaditya Kashyap, the managing director at Marks Emballage, who has ordered two Labelmaster presses, one of which is an Advanced, said he was excited to see the new developments. During the show, Kashyap was busy finalising hybrid LED UV capability to the presses he has ordered. "I am looking forward to the arrival of the new presses at our new plant," he said.
