German equipment firms on customer support in India
Today at 2.30pm, in a webinar organised by Future Schoolz and VDMA, leading German machine manufacturers will talk about the customer services they have been providing their customers during the crisis.

Future Schoolz and Germany's Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA) will be organising a webinar today to highlight the various steps and measures taken by German equipment manufacturers to offer effective customer support in India during these troubled times.
The international online seminar titled One Click to Service, which is said to be exclusive for Indian print entrepreneurs, will predominantly talk about how the German machine manufacturers offer fast and effective technical support – maintenance, service, installation – to its customers in India.
The seminar will begin with Rajendrakumar Anayath, vice chancellor at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology speaking about the current situation of the printing industry in India. He will talk about how Covid-19 has affected the printing industry and the current situation of printing houses and the graphic arts industry in India.
Soon after, Achim Kurreck, CEO at HC Moog will elaborate on how to easily repair or maintain mechanical parts without personal presence (electronically). He would also be talking about how sheetfed gravure could meet the demands of brand owners in sustainable luxury packaging.
Next, Michael Holt of TKM will introduce the TKM Group Solution app to the viewers. According to Holt, the new troubleshooting app will support printers during problem situations and offer solutions to the most common problems in the printing room.
Dominik Michalek of DW Renzmann Apparatebau will be discussing how Renzmann face the pandemic not only as a problem but also as a challenge with new sales and service concepts.
Further next, Jonas Frauendorf and Maria Kraus of Leonhard Kurz Stiftung will share information about Kurz remote service and how smart and interactive NFC labels are protecting supply chains and products.
Later, Kresimir Ostric of IST METZ will elaborate on the customer support the company has been offering in difficult times with travel restrictions. Meanwhile, his colleague Manuel Blauensteiner will talk about the IST UV curing technology for packaging applications.
The next session from Heidelberg's Martin Futterlieb, head of lifecycle business and operations, Asia Pacific will touch upon innovative service concepts to utilise potential e-services. Meanwhile, Udo Fiebiger, business development manager sheetfed, Asia Pacific will highlight the smart packaging workflow solutions offered by Heidelberg.
The last session by Aran Sethi and Henning Meier of Kolbus will touch upon the box making machinery –Kolbus Auto Box - and how it helps gain control over the box making process. According to them, the machinery allows converters to produce short-run custom boxes at the click of a touchscreen button.
