GBO’s annual event, Globalocal: The forum for content, started in 2009 and in its fourth year, recently saw another successful edition completed at Jaipur on the 28 and 29 of January 2013.
Globalocal is an exclusive forum for content, tailored to meet the needs of the publishing and allied industry, and has evolved from a conference format to an exclusive B2B platform integrating expert speaks and networking opportunities among other avenues of business outreach. Targeted at national and international players within the publishing and ancillary industry, this event offers the industry to explore further business possibilities while exchanging and updating knowledge and trends.
“In 2014, the event will have an exciting mix of roundtables, rights and licenses training, matchmakings, keynote presentations and networking breaks. The new additions for this year will be thematic workshops led by noted practitioners and an Experts’ Table with a panel of industry experts there to provide guidance. Thereby, there’s going to be ample opportunities to meet peers, professionals, new business partners, to present your products/ideas, and interact with people from the publishing and allied industries from all over,” stated the press release issued by GBO.
GBO has also invited publishers and publishing companies from across the globe to visit India from 9-15 February 2014, be a part of the Trip, and attend Globalocal 2014 right before participating in the New Delhi World Book Fair 2014. The trip is planned across Delhi and Chennai and will provide insights into Indian publishing industry to the international participants.
