Goa Book Fair scheduled for first week of January
The second edition of the Goa Book Fair has been scheduled for 4-8 January 2024. The event is jointly organised by the Margao-based The Dogears Bookshop.

The Goa Book Fair will be held at the Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, Goa
Building on last year’s success, which took place on 9-13 February 2023, the event anticipates a fantastic turnout with enthusiastic booksellers and eager book buyers.
Leonard J Fernandes of Publishing Next, said, “We expect schools and colleges to visit the book fair again this year. We are also organising more events for children and adults this time, as an additional means of attracting participation. In all, the book fair caters to the entire Goa market as well as to book buyers from the neighbouring regions such as Sawantwadi, Belgaum and Karwar. There is interest in books in all genres, and in languages such as Konkani, Marathi, Hindi, Kannada, and English."
The book fair is also open for stationery suppliers.
The Goa Book Fair will be held at the Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, Goa.
Fernandes said, “The location is ideal for a book fair of the magnitude we aspire for, as well as provides ample parking for visitors, and is closely located to transit points and fairly inexpensive stays. We have a total of 50 stalls on offer. The book fair is outdoors but all stalls will be under a fully covered space.”
