The deal was signed by Bhargav Mistry, managing director, Grafica and Angelo Schiestl, managing director, Aeoon Technologies GmbH, during Schiestls’ visit to the Grafica factory and DMI Institute in Vasai.

Bhargav Mistry commenting on the development said, “The demand for digital printers is growing, Even though screen printing still has its hold in textile and garment printing space, we want to seize this opportunity to bring in an addition to our existing portfolio. Both digital and screen printing technologies can co-exist now and also in future; while digital press can be used for printing spot. CMYK colours with good number of quantities and screen printing process would still be required to print high density and special effect work.”

“Grafica and Aeoon have synergy terms of technology and technical know-how in their respective fields and I come from textile and garment screen printing background. Bhargav Mistry is a propagator of advanced screen printing, who has passion for teaching good practices and knowledge besides manufacturing of screen printing machines. We want our customers to be satisfied and use our machines to the fullest potential”, shared Schiestl on explaining the rationale behind joining hands with Grafica.

He added, “It is true that digital DTG presses were hitherto used for low volume production but thanks to our new technology, it can now become the industrial production method for garment decoration. While our industrial range of Aeoon Kyo digital presses can even be used for printing one single piece of garment.”

Schiestl says that, “The maintenance issues that are common in DTG digital presses, are eliminated with Aeoon machines. With Aeoon digital press, one can print on dark and light textiles using Aeoon RIP software which prepares all files for printing and it generates (if applicable) a white under-base; and automatically synchronizes the printable files with the machine.

To ensure the best printing quality possible and to print on dark garments, it is necessary to pre-treat the textiles.”

“The pre-treatment process is carried out before the actual printing, to maximise the output of machine; the pre-treatment is not integrated in the Aeoon textile printers. There is no loss of speed or output due to the time consuming pre-treatment processes. It requires less cleaning effort since no pre-treatment vapours will settle inside the machine and the heads. Although the pre-treatment is not part of the actual machine, Aeoon offers individual pre-treatment solutions that exactly match production needs.”

Schiestl says that, “The Aeoon direct to garment printer is adaptable, which mean printers can upgrade and add features such as print heads, a laser system or custom pallets on the long run. Aeoon supplies own water based ink which is manufactured to meet the specification and mechanism of Kyo DTG digital printers. Aeoon colours are available in CMYK and white-pigmented ink. It also offers a pre-treatment solution which ensures the best printing quality on dark textiles.”

While explaining the advantages of digital textile printing process, Schiestl says, “One has to simply load the garment on the pallet and press the print button on touch screen. This reduces the setup costs and the time consuming pre-printing processes to a minimum. Instead, one can print garments in no time, in short print runs and in very high printing quality. Even a completely different image can be printed on each garment.”

Aeoon Technologies is headquartered at picturesque Kramsach region in Tyrol, Austria and Aeoon Technologies’ vision is to build a versatile inkjet printing platform for industrial mass application. With an extended knowledge and experience in textile printing, the founders of the company believe in offering the best machine possible to the market.
