Lalit Goyal, representing Graphic Impex Services, said, “Having spent over two decades in the industry, we understand the current needs of book manufacturing businesses. Many of these companies face challenges with pre-owned imported equipment due to availability and cost, while Indian-made equipment often falls short of their expectations. To address this gap, we’ve collaborated with a manufacturing partner in China to produce equipment that combines affordability with advanced functionality tailored for Indian book manufacturers.”

The three-knife trimmer, model QS-100C, weighing 3,000 kg, offers cutting dimensions ranging from 80x80-mm to 380x300-mm, operating at a speed of 25 cuts per minute.

Goyal said while the company has multiple models in the pipeline for varying requirements, the QS-100C has been introduced as the ideal solution for current market demands.

Meanwhile, Graphic Impex has sold one machine to Greater Noida-based Ramshila Paper Resources.

MN Pandey of Avantika Printers praised Lalit Goyal’s expertise, saying, “Goyal’s rich experience in bookbinding machines has enabled him to develop a product that is compact, robust, fast, and safe —qualities that meet the specific needs of the Indian market. The operator safety features are particularly commendable.”

Piyush Ranjan Agarwal of Allahabad-based Green World Publication, said, “The three-knife trimmer offers excellent quality with advanced mechanisms and reduced energy consumption. Its robust build ensures minimal breakdowns, and the human safety sensor is a critical feature, protecting operators’ hands from potential risks. Graphic Impex has succeeded in delivering a European-quality machine at an Indian price. We plan to install the machine during our upcoming upgrade next year.”

Arun Kumar Mondal from Arun Print Solutions, the business partner for the machine in North India, highlighted its market potential, saying, “This machine addresses a crucial market need and is well-timed with the unexpected growth in the Indian book market, especially post-pandemic. We are confident that the three-knife trimmer will be well-received by the industry.”
