Two Gujarat firms book MGI digital press at Photo Fair

The first day at the ongoing Photo Fair 2012 saw two Gujarat print firms, Venus Photo Albums (Surat) and Print World (Rajkot) place an order for MGI DP 8700XL press.

Mumbai-based Aura Print Solutions, the authorised Indian representative for MGI in India, unveiled MGI DP 8700XL and UV varnish for the first time at its stall in Photo Fair 2012, being held in Mumbai from 5 to 8 January 2012.

V Natrajan, managing director, Aura Print Solutions, said: “Photo Fair has begun on a highly positive note for us. We booked two orders for MGI DP 8700XL and have 10 serious enquiries.The advantage of the machine is its feeder size of 13X40inch. Moreover, it can print on various substrates (paper, plastics and synthetics).”

Raymond Pena, international director-sales at MGI, said: “The machine’s size provides an opportunity for the lab owners to not only print the photographs but also do the commercial jobs like cover for the books, banner and posters. The machine has the capability of printing 3600dpi on all type of substrates it supports.”
