Since its establishment in 2001, Impress Advertising Media has incarnated into different avatars of printing. Movva Hari Babu, proprietor, Impress Adverting Media, said, “We started our printing business two decades ago as a digital large-format or signage printing shop cum a newspaper classified ad agency at Arundelpet in Guntur. Following the growing market trends and new developments in the sector, we eventually switched to commercial printing.”
When Impress worked for a handful of reputed local and national newspapers, namely, The Hindu, Eenadu, Andhra Jyothi and others, it came to know about the demands for commercial printing. So, a commercial printing division was unveiled with the installation of a line of digital presses, including a Konica Minolta Bizhub Press C1060 and a Ricoh Pro 8310, backed by a team of around dozen printing professionals, including two graphic designers.
“As we have been using the Rioch Pro 8310, a black & white cut-sheet press, we wanted to add an advanced and versatile Rioch production digital press in our portfolio for sharp and high-textured colour graphics,” Babu said. “We decided to go with Monotech Systems, whom we know well and trust for their products and cooperative after-sales support. This is how we purchased the production workhorse — Ricoh Pro C7200X Graphic Arts Edition.”
He added that the purchase of the advanced Rioch Pro C7200X with white ink tonner option has changed the way the company used to work earlier.
“We are now empowered to increase our production speed and colour print quality. Our growth trajectory is now pointed at capturing additional high-end photo album printing for customers from different parts of Andhra Pradesh,” he said.
The Ricoh Pro C7200X can create vivid colours in offset quality. It can run at the speed of 85-ppm and can print on a range of media stock up to 360-gsm.
