For this, the company has invested in a Xerox 1000 digital colour press.
Prakash Gaddam, managing partner at Half Tone said, “Apart from the excellent quality, the Xerox 1000 digital press was a perfect match for our budget. The press is equipped with a special colour which helps us produce jobs with value added features.”
The digital pre-press firm has printed more than six lakh sheets in last four months.
Gaddam added, “The commercial offset printing has seen a decline in the print quantity. Day by day the print run is getting shorter. This is where, we cater to those short run jobs. We have tied up with print firms who inturn give us these jobs. These print firms are happy as they are getting jobs on time. We are the first company to install Xerox 1000 press in Andhra Pradesh.”
Besides Xerox 1000, the digital pre-press firm has also installed a Kodak Trendsetter Quantum eight-up thermal CTP platesetter. This is the fifth platesetter in its premises.
Murali Nandyala, managing partner at Half Tone said, “We have three Basysprint, one Viostar FA8 from TechNova and now we have opted Kodak CTP platesetter to up our plate production capacity. The CTP division of Half Tone caters to more than 30,000 plates per month, yet we faced bottle neck issues in providing services to our client. We felt the need of adding one more CTP platesetter. Keeping the market requirement and the desired quality in mind, we chose Kodak.”
Nandyala added, “This is a fast machine and can produce 50 plates per hour. Today the end users demand quick service along with quality. We hope that the new CTP platesetter delivers both.”
The pre-press bureau plans to foray into flexography and gravure market by investing in Flexo CTP and gravure cylinder making equipment.
