The sale of pressxchange is consistent with Haymarket’s Group Growth Plan, which sees the company focusing its resources for growth and development on international markets in which it holds an established position of scale and market leadership. Haymarket CEO, Kevin Costello says: “The sale of pressxchange will enable us to better focus on our chosen markets, while giving pressXchange the benefit of new owners with vast experience in the print sector.” Haymarket's current pressXchange staff will continue in their roles to ensure continuity under the new owners during the handover phase. Roadnight said he had continued to follow the fortunes of pressXchange since building it in 2000. “pressXchange is the world’s most successful used printing equipment site with the best search engine results, highest visitor numbers, the largest database and the very best and most respected international dealers advertising on it,” he said. “It sells many millions of euros’ and dollars’ worth of equipment every year. “I want to build on the progress that Haymarket has made over the last seven years, develop new services for our customers and visitors and make the site as user-friendly as possible. We have interesting plans which will be revealed over the next few months, so watch this space.”
